Spent an AWFUL long time faffing around, wondering whether to rig 7.4m or even whether to bother staying & paying the outrageous car park fees. Ignoring the large sign saying \"No trailers\" amongst all the other prohibited items & activities, I eventually coughed-up to buy a mortgage for the two spaces I occupied.

Tony Low hot-footed it down to Daymer where, I can report, he had a pretty iffy session on a 6.5m.

Shunning the Fanatic Cross 110 I\'d hauled down to the water\'s edge, I dragged out the Goya 86l wave + 5.5m.

Have to say, the weather was awesome. 24C, bright sunshine, and suncream in the eyes. The wind was less ideal, blowing from F1 - F6. Some of the holes were serious enough to warrant the swimming journey back in - always a slight worry as I\'ve been in trouble with tides at Exmouth on several occasions.

The water was seriously churned up, with steep chop seemingly every few metres. Pretty alaming when trying to hold down a sail that\'s being torn out of your hands, whilst tail-walking, or even when trying to waterstart in the 10 min long Force 2 lulls. I remembered that starboard tack jumping feels very unusual for us Weston\'ites!!

So when the tide turned at about 14:00, putting wind with tide, and preferring NOT to risk a walk back from Orcombe Point (or beyond), I decided it was game over.

Traffic back was good, though.
